The kit was designed for builders who are familiar with the drag and drop programming languages such as Scratch and Mixly. All Projects use the easy-to-understand Scratch programming language natively. Likewise all of the code we provide will come in the Scratch language as well. However you can use traditional programming languages as well, if preferred.

Do I need to know how to program?

No you don’t, If you follow along one of our guided tutorials that are available online, you can download all the source code you need to make your projects work. This is a great way to learn programming. By downloading our code and following along the project you will get to see the code we programmed in Scratch and how it works. You can even change values! For example if you want a motor to spin faster or LED to emit brighter you can make that change happen on your own. We invite you to do so, this will help tie digital changes to real world changes. This Tactile learning method is extremely effective when learning to code.

What can I build with this kit? 

Anything you want! This kit offers a wide array of different modules, sensors and accessories (scroll down to view all). The Advanced kit includes everything found in the 102 Basic kit and Itty Bitty City, thus you can follow many tutorials and build all mCookie projects! All the projects you see (and plenty you don’t) can be built using the Advanced kit.

Projects such as Sound Senstive LED, Clap Light, Music Box, Electronic Greeter, Nightlight, Line Finder Vehicle, mClock and much, much more.
